Job Title: Sr Epic Application Analyst – Epic Beaker
Primary Location: Chicago, Illinois / Remote
Position Type: Full Time

Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Sr Epic Application Analyst – Epic Beaker. This is a Full-Time role in Chicago, Illinois / Remote. The reason this position exists is to support and enhance laboratory and blood bank systems in a complex healthcare environment, ensuring high-quality application performance, system integration, and regulatory compliance.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree (or Associate degree with 7+ years of relevant experience)

  • 5+ years of Epic application experience

  • Epic certification(s) (Beaker certification required)

  • Strong experience with clinical systems analysis and healthcare IT

  • Experience with laboratory systems and blood bank operations (2–3 years preferred)

  • Familiarity with SoftBank blood bank system and third-party integrations (e.g., Telcor, Data Innovations)

  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Experience facilitating discussions between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and clinical audiences

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, integrated system issues

What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Lead and manage mid- to large-scale projects across multiple departments

  • Design, build, implement, maintain, and optimize Epic Beaker applications

  • Conduct workflow assessments and gather business requirements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to ensure effective system integration

  • Perform system builds, upgrades, and enhancements

  • Support applications through all phases of implementation and post-go-live activities

  • Deliver training, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support

  • Configure vendor applications and manage third-party integrations

  • Maintain system documentation, specifications, and procedures

  • Develop test plans, prepare test data, and execute system testing

  • Provide on-site and on-call support as needed

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues

  • Audit user data and ensure system accuracy and compliance

  • Apply project management and systems development methodologies

  • Support regulatory compliance (CAP, AABB, FDA)

Compensation Information

The expected salary range for this position is $85K - $125K , depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
