Job description

Department: PHSO
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 7:30am to 4pm
Summary:
The PHSO Quality Improvement Reporting Specialist is responsible for creating, modifying, validating and maintaining user-level reports, dashboards, and analytics within the Epic Hyperspace environment using Epic's Cogito tools. The position will work directly with PHSO leadership and providers to improve Epic workflows efficiencies, track performance metrics, and optimize quality performance in value based care.
Additionally, the PHSO QI Reporting Specialist is responsible for helping achieve quality performance in value based care. This involves analyzing healthcare gaps, improving patient engagement, and educating on the need to perform preventative healthcare screenings. They are responsible for documenting in electronic medical records (EMR), payor portals, or other required systems to ensure accurate and complete records. They will perform low risk outreach to patients discharged from an acute setting and refer to care coordinators, pharmacists or providers when appropriate. The Specialist will collaborate with the health care team to achieve quality performance outcomes in value based care contracts.

Education and Experience
1. Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant Certification, or relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of AR is required.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience working within Epic Hyperspace as an end-user with knowledge of clinical workflows and improving user experiences.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement or quality reporting, preferably within a hospital or PHSO setting.
4. No formal data analytics training or experience is required.
5. Must successfully complete internal training in Epic Cogito reporting modules.
Skills and Competencies
1. Basic proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
2. Basic proficiency in EHR (Epic Cognito badge: Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and Radar Dashboards)
3. Basic proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Microsoft Excel
4. Intermediate proficiency in Healthcare Quality Metrics (e.g., HEDIS, Stars, regulatory measures)
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Excellent attention to detail
Work Environment
Location: Hybrid or Remote
Schedule: Full-time
Travel: Minimal travel required for occasional meetings or training.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
