What is a remote environmental science job?

A remote environmental science job is a position that allows professionals to work from locations outside of a traditional office or laboratory setting, often from home or while traveling. These roles typically involve tasks such as data analysis, report writing, remote sensing, consulting, and environmental monitoring using digital tools. Remote environmental scientists contribute to research, policy, and project management without needing to be physically present at field sites, although occasional site visits may be required. This flexibility allows for better work-life balance and can open opportunities to collaborate with global teams. Remote roles are increasingly common as technology enables more scientific work to be conducted virtually.

  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals (NPs, PAs, RNs, MDs, DOs) strongly preferred
  • Experience in a sales-driven environment is a plus, we're looking for someone who knows how to build rapport, follow up, and close.
  • Proven ability to carry a high requisition load without losing quality in candidate communication or pipeline documentation
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills across LinkedIn, professional associations, referrals, and industry events
  • Exceptional follow-through; no candidate goes dark without a touchpoint
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clinical professionals
  • Proficiency with Greenhouse ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and AI-enabled sourcing tools
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with a high degree of self-accountability
Who Will Thrive Here

This role is built for someone who is motivated by results and energized by connecting with people. You'll thrive here if you're highly organized, naturally driven, and enjoy owning your work from start to finish.

The ideal candidate approaches recruiting with a sales mindset, building relationships, creating trust, overcoming objections, and confidently guiding candidates through the decision-making process. You're comfortable making outreach, following up consistently, and staying engaged until you have a clear outcome.
