Job description

We're supporting the State of Louisiana government office in Baton Rouge, LA!! There is no government clearance needed for this role. Our client State of Louisiana is seeking a remote GIS Program Manager with 5+ years' experience leading development teams enhancing ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software along with familiarity on the state government's procurement, invoicing, and payment methodologies. The GIS Program Manager would oversee budgets related to their internal deployment and implementation of the Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) Enterprise ArcGIS and VertiGIS Studio platforms. The ESRI ArcGIS and VertiGIS implementation projects have not begun yet, and we're anticipating 80+ new remote GIS hires to start by June 2, 2025. Since this a four-year remote contract (w/ a possible extension) starting June 2, our client State of Louisiana plans to release their new cloud-based ESRI ArcGIS platform and VertiGIS Studio by year 2029 involving automated GIS technologies that enable internal staff members to manage geographic data, perform map modifications, and create analytical mapping visualizations for ongoing state construction projects.
The single-step interview process is one-round MS Teams video conference with State of Louisiana's HR Dept., and GIS Technical Program Management Team including State of Louisiana's Chief Information Officer (CIO). An offer letter is anticipated by May 23, to start the remote role on June 2, 2025. Interview invitation begins on the week of May 12, 2025.
