Sr. Project Manager & Business Development Leader
ROWE Professional Services Company
ROWE Professional Services Company, an employee-owned, full-service professional consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, aerial mapping, LIDAR, landscape architecture, planning and land development, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager & Business Development Leader to drive the long-term growth of ROWE's South Carolina market. This experienced and entrepreneurial-minded professional will work closely with executive leadership to expand our business presence and develop long-lasting client relationships and teaming opportunities. Their initial focus will be on business development and growth strategies. The is a hybrid position with both in-person and remote work opportunities. This position can sit out of Georgetown, SC.
Key Responsibilities
• Work directly with execute leadership to identify and establish strategic office locations in South Carolina and nearby states.
• Lead our business development locally to grow our client base and expand services.
• Lead cross-discipline collaboration at South Carolina office(s)
• Attend professional workshops, meetings and marketing events (SCDOT, ACEC, ASCE)
• Identify and develop strategies to secure future work for both small and large-scale projects.
• Prepare successful proposals and oversee project selection.
• Direct engineering tasks, providing quality control and ensure project deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Oversee project budgets and manage project teams, schedules and staff assignments.
• Provide direction, supervision and training goals to junior staff.
• Mentor junior staff on projects scopes, budgets and staffing plans.
• Help identify key hires and build a South Carolina candidate pipeline.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• South Carolina Professional Engineer License.
• 15+ years of civil site or municipal design experience, including 5+ years as a Project Manager/Business Development Manager.
• Experience in site and road design; hydraulic analysis; sanitary sewer and water main design; preparing permits (EGLE, etc.); and bid book and specification development.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation capabilities.
• Compassionate and enthusiastic leadership skills
• Detail-oriented and analytically minded.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions.
• Effective communicator
• Willingness to travel throughout South Carolina.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, both in-person and remote
