Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs, followed by the formulation of tailored treatment plans based on best practices.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy utilizing a variety of therapeutic methods, ensuring that interventions are adaptable to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate regularly with case managers and psychiatrists to create a holistic care strategy, sharing insights and treatment updates to ensure continuity of care.
  • Offer crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute distress, employing a compassionate approach to stabilize emotional situations effectively.
  • Engage in proactive community outreach initiatives, educating the public on mental health issues and working to diminish stigma associated with seeking help.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with individuals from varying backgrounds, including different ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic identities. Qualifications
  • Must hold an active, independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build rapport quickly and establish effective therapeutic relationships.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity, with an emphasis on tailored approaches to diverse populations.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, ensuring all client documentation is thorough and submitted timely.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health setting is highly desirable, particularly in delivering therapy for clients with complex or co-occurring disorders.
  • Proficiency in virtual therapy platforms and technology to deliver services effectively in a remote environment.
  • A track record of engaging in community outreach or education related to mental health is a plus, demonstrating commitment beyond individual client care.
