Remote Entry Level Mern Stack Developer information

What is a remote entry level MERN Stack developer?

A Remote Entry Level MERN Stack Developer is a software developer who works from a remote location, usually from home, and specializes in building web applications using the MERN stack. The MERN stack includes MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js, which are popular JavaScript-based technologies. Entry level generally indicates that the position is suitable for those just starting their careers, with minimal professional experience required. This role often involves assisting with coding, debugging, and learning best practices under the guidance of more experienced developers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote entry level MERN Stack developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Entry Level MERN Stack Developer, you need a solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js, often supported by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp certification. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, cloud platforms, and common development tools such as Visual Studio Code is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for collaborating in a remote environment. These skills ensure you can build, maintain, and troubleshoot full-stack web applications efficiently while working independently and as part of a distributed team.

What are some common challenges faced by remote entry level MERN Stack developers, and how can they overcome them?

Remote entry level MERN Stack developers often face challenges such as effective communication with distributed teams, managing time zones, and staying motivated without in-person supervision. To overcome these, it's important to proactively participate in team meetings, use collaboration tools like Slack or Jira, and establish a structured daily routine. Seeking regular feedback from more experienced developers and engaging in code reviews can also accelerate learning and help address technical roadblocks. Building strong self-discipline and maintaining clear documentation will further ease remote collaboration and personal productivity.

Senior Meta Media Buyer - Ecomm/DTC Brands Only (100% Remote)

Gilbert, AZ โ€ข Remote

$55K - $90K/yr

Contractor

Re-posted 5 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Own paid social campaigns for up to 8 e-commerce accounts, including structuring, launching, pacing, and scaling Meta campaigns to meet revenue projections.

  • Manage the launch process by coordinating creative asset delivery, conducting pre-launch QA, and confirming live campaigns with clients within scheduled windows.

  • Maintain a daily feedback loop with the pod, including daily pulse meetings, weekly creative-media syncs, client deep dives, and safety checks to ensure account performance and timely launches.

Job description

The Opportunity

We're not another generalist agency where "media buyer" means babysitting whatever accounts walk in the door.

Brick Social runs paid media and creative for e-commerce and DTC brands only - SHITI Coolers, Drake Waterfowl, ButcherBox for Pets, Spotlight Oral Care. One niche, total depth. You'll never context-switch from a plumber's lead-gen campaign to a B2B webinar funnel. Every account is a Shopify-economy brand where your buying decisions show up in revenue the same week you make them.

Here's the thing most buyers never get: a creative engine behind them. Our pods ship roughly 136 new assets a month - about 7 fresh ads a day - from a dedicated creative strategist, video editor, and designers who sit in your pod. When you spot a fatiguing ad at 9am, you brief its replacement the same day. You will never beg a client for creative again, and you will never take the blame for a stale account you couldn't refresh.

And you're paid like an owner, not a seat. Our pod profit share pays out 20% of pod profit above the margin floor, quarterly. When your accounts grow, your paycheck does - the math is shared openly, and it's the same math the founders use.

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It): Own paid social for up to 8 e-commerce accounts inside one pod. Structure, launch, pace, and scale Meta campaigns against each client's revenue projection - with a creative team feeding you fresh assets daily and a documented launch process behind you. Your job is simple to say and hard to do: hit revenue-to-projection, every account, every month.

The Role - What You'll Own

1. Account performance - full-funnel Meta buying for up to 8 DTC accounts (~$30K+/mo spend levels): structure, budgets, pacing, scaling decisions. You decide what gets tested, when, and why.

2. The launch machine - fixed Mon/Wed/Fri launch windows with hard cutoffs. Creative is logged on arrival, triaged within 1 business day, live within 5. You run the pre-launch QA checklist and confirm live to the client - the touchpoint that builds trust.

3. The feedback loop - daily pulse with your pod (15 min), weekly creative-media sync with your strategist, client deep dives (2/day, one assigned day per client), and a Friday safety sweep so nothing bleeds over a weekend.

Your Targets (Radical Transparency)

You'll see your scorecard on Day 1. Reviews here have zero surprises.

KPIs:

  • Revenue to Projections: 90%+
  • Spend to Projection: 90%+
  • On Time Launches: 95%+

You don't need to be perfect on day one. But you do need to be the kind of person who sees these numbers, gets excited, and immediately starts thinking about how to beat them.

Who You Are

Deal-Makers:

  • Agency-side, multi-account experience - you've juggled 5-8 ecomm accounts at once and know the rhythm; this is not a first-agency-job role
  • Hands-on Meta buying, right now - in-platform weekly for the last 2+ years, personally managing $50K+/mo per account (up to $500k/mo)
  • Scaling proof - you can name accounts you grew, with before-and-after spend and revenue numbers
  • Tracking literacy - pixel/CAPI, GA4, and at least one attribution stack (Triple Whale, Northbeam, or similar); you trust your numbers because you set them up
  • Creative fluency - you give strategists usable feedback (hooks, angles, fatigue signals), not "make it pop"
  • Time zone - 4+ hours of daily overlap with US Eastern, and you're at the Mon/Wed/Fri launch windows without fail

Deal-Breakers:

  • You haven't personally bought media in-platform in the last 2 years (managers who only "oversee" - this is a hands-on seat)
  • You've never been accountable to a revenue or ROAS target - only activity metrics
  • You've only ever run 1-2 in-house accounts and have never carried an agency load
  • You want set-and-forget account management with no daily ownership

You're Perfect If You:

  • Can't stop screenshotting ads in your feed and reverse-engineering why they're scaling
  • Get genuinely annoyed when spend paces 12% hot and nobody noticed but you
  • Bonus: you've bought for Shopify-economy DTC brands and know what a 2%+ conversion-rate store feels like from inside the ad account

The Package

Compensation: Base $5,000-$7,500/month USD + quarterly pod profit (based on experience and location)

Perks That Matter:

  • 100% remote - always has been, always will be
  • A creative team in your pod - you'll never be blocked on assets
  • Weekly group training hour w/ Founder + monthly 1:1
  • $5K referral bonus when you bring us an A-player

Our Values

1. Extreme Ownership - when something breaks in your account, you say 'that's mine' before anyone asks.

2. Growth - you're better at this job in December than you were in January, every year.

3. Exceeding Expectations - 'delivered as promised' is the floor, not the goal.

4. Openness - you speak up for what you believe in.

Include the number (1, 2, 3, or 4) of the value that resonates most with you in your application.

The Process

1. Apply - takes 10 minutes

2. One-way video interview (~15 min)

3. Skills test (1 hour, capped)

4. Two interviews

5. Reference check offer within a week of your first interview

[APPLY HERE]

Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

PS: A few years ago I was the guy doing all the buying - 60-70 hour weeks, on every client call, personally covering accounts every time someone left. I built Brick's pod system so that never happens to anyone here: you get a creative team, a documented launch process, real targets you see on day one, and a share of the profit you create. If you're the kind of buyer who wants to own accounts inside a system that actually supports you - I'd love to meet you.
