What You'll Do

Content Strategy & Planning
  • Develop content-focused recommendations that improve usability, accessibility, organization, and clarity.
  • Conduct content audits, inventories, and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support large-scale content migration and modernization initiatives.
  • Analyze existing content structures and recommend improvements to navigation, organization, and user experience.
  • Assist in developing content governance standards, editorial guidelines, and sustainable content management practices.
  • Contribute to scalable content strategies that support long-term organizational goals.
Content Creation, Editing & Quality Assurance
  • Write, edit, rewrite, and optimize content to ensure consistency, accuracy, accessibility, and plain-language readability.
  • Transform complex subject matter into clear, user-friendly content for diverse audiences.
  • Apply editorial standards and accessibility best practices across all content deliverables.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across large volumes of web and digital content.
  • Perform content quality assurance reviews prior to publication or migration.
  • Identify outdated, redundant, or conflicting content and recommend improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Partner with client stakeholders, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to gather information and align on content decisions.
  • Facilitate content review sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Build productive relationships across organizations and navigate competing priorities with professionalism and empathy.
  • Guide stakeholders through content reviews, approvals, and decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, digital communications, web content management, technical editing, journalism, public affairs, UX writing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting complex content initiatives.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience organizing, revising, or migrating large volumes of content.
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar topics and communicate them clearly to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders across different functional areas.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a distributed team environment.
