Job Description Summary

The Department of Applied Computing and Engineering Technology (ACET) at Miami University Regionals invites applications for Visiting Faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses in Engineering Technology and Information Technology on a per-course basis. Course assignments are made on a semester basis and are taught at Miami University's Hamilton Campus, Advanced Manufacturing Hub, located at 101 Knightsbridge Drive, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Courses may be offered in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats and may be scheduled during the day or evening.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment;orbachelor's degree in a closely related discipline with at least five (5) years of relevant industry experience by the date of appointment.

Consideration may be given to candidates with expertise in one or more areas of Engineering Technology or Information Technology, including manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, computer, robotics, automation, mechatronics, industrial controls, CNC machining, CAD/CAM, programming, cybersecurity, networking, cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, database systems, and software development. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with postsecondary teaching experience, experience delivering face-to-face, hybrid, or online instruction, relevant industry experience, professional licensure or industry certifications, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching.
