As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Great Lake Behavioral Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead dynamic group therapy sessions, encouraging clients to share experiences and learn collectively, fostering a sense of community and support.
• Individual Counseling: Provide tailored, one-on-one therapy that explores clients' thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help develop effective coping strategies and actionable plans toward improved mental health.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated in their recovery journey.
• Progress Monitoring: Utilize assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes and promote healing.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work in tandem with a dedicated team of professionals, including social workers and psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and consult on complex cases effectively.

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are seeking outpatient treatment for mental health challenges. These individuals may be coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other various life stressors. You will have the opportunity to make impactful changes in their lives by offering compassionate therapy in a supportive and positive environment.

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current LPC licensure in the state of Texas.
• Solid understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and holistic treatment modalities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to relate empathetically to clients.

Experience working with young adults and familiarity with PHP programming are highly desirable. Candidates must exhibit a passion for nurturing hope and resilience in clients and have demonstrated success in group and individual therapy settings.
