As a Power Systems Engineer at EPE you will be responsible for developing and conducting computer modeling and analysis for transmission & distribution planning studies. You will have the opportunity to work with industry leaders as you grow and develop in your career and will take on increasing challenges are you're ready.

How you can make an impact:

The Power Systems Engineer Intern will perform projects/tasks such as network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies as well as contribute to process improvement efforts, including development of Python scripts. This position will report to an experienced Transmission Manager and be exposed to exciting projects building valuable industry knowledge. Through this opportunity, the intern will gain experience with the Texas and Eastern Interconnection power systems.

Qualifications

Bring your passion, here's what's needed:

  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, a PhD degree program  with a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of, or current enrollment in, power systems fundamentals class(es) (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

 Location: Canada - Remote 

 Length: Long-Term Internship (up to 12-months) and up to 40 hours a week.
