This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide essential services while maintaining an optimal work-life balance. Our team operates within a supportive environment where collaboration is encouraged, and continuous learning is emphasized. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient demand.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that reflect the unique needs of older adults, recognizing cognitive, physical, and social dynamics.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices to address conditions such as depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.
• Facilitate both individual and family therapy sessions, offering structured interventions tailored to each patient's circumstances.
• Engage in close collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated and holistic care for our patients.
• Respond to mental health emergencies by providing crisis intervention and immediate support for elderly patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about available treatment options, mental health conditions, and access to community resources that can aid in recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records per legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality in documentation.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and share knowledge.
• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in geriatric psychiatry to constantly improve patient care standards.

This role primarily focuses on elderly individuals experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders related to aging. By employing a patient-centered approach, you'll form meaningful connections with clients, enabling them to share their experiences and tailoring therapy to meet their specific needs.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist in California.
• At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, preferably focused on geriatric populations.
• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, effective therapeutic modalities, and evidenced-based interventions.
• Experience delivering therapeutic services, including family therapy, to older adults.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an empathetic, patient-focused approach.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to effectively use various computer applications.
• Proven capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

• Experience in crisis intervention and managing mental health emergencies within a geriatric context; knowledge of community resources is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to educate families on mental health issues and treatment modalities effectively.
• Previous involvement in professional development initiatives or leadership roles in mental health programming.
