Job description

At TixTrack, we support our clients by creating superior ticketing solutions for performing arts and cultural institutions through a combination of modern technology, beautifully simple design, and the art of listening.
Headquartered in the heart of the Broadway Theatre District, NYC, we are a small, but growing team of hardworking, highly motivated individuals. We are passionate about our work and driven to innovate with our customers to solve current and future challenges with new solutions.
Our core product, Nliven, is a real-time platform that helps venues manage ticket sales efficiently while creating a more engaging buying experience for customers. With a presence across both the US and UK, we are anticipating robust growth in 2026.
Even with a highly dispersed, largely remote workforce, we stay connected through our Slack channels, virtual events and regional meetups. Come see how we "role".
About The Role
Turn friction into flow.
At TixTrack, our product sells tickets at scale and absorbs major traffic spikes during big onsales. The kind of spikes that come with major Broadway events like Hamilton. Behind it is a platform we're investing in like a product in its own right: paved roads over mandates, reliability engineered in rather than bolted on, and teams that own their services end-to-end.
We're hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to help build that platform. Not just to close tickets or gatekeep infrastructure; but to build the deployment systems, reliability practices, and developer workflows that let product teams move faster, safely, with confidence. If you think in terms of teams enabled rather than tickets closed, you'll fit right in.
The Platform Engineering team builds the systems, tooling, and operational standards that enable product teams to deliver software safely, frequently, and independently as our grows. The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for contributing as part of this team, helping to lead the design, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of our platform infrastructure and core services. This role partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Cybersecurity to architect and evolve systems that support a highly available, secure, and resilient multi-tenant SaaS environment.
As a senior individual contributor, the Senior Platform Engineer applies advanced reliability and systems engineering principles to production environments, influencing architectural decisions and long-term platform strategy. This role balances speed of delivery with operational maturity, ensuring the platform scales effectively while maintaining high standards of performance, security, and uptime.
This position reports to the Platform Engineering Manager.
This position is full-time and fully remote. Candidates must be located in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Oregon, Utah, Tennessee, Colorado, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Candidates may be required to travel and/or meet up in-person from time to time. There may also be an expectation in the future for hybrid work in a local office.
About You
  • You've spent 6+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering within SaaS.
  • You have hands-on production cloud infrastructure experience within distributed systems. Azure preferred; AWS/GCP welcome.
  • You've rolled out agents and AI powered workflows in an engineering organization. You can speak to how you measured adoption and evolved them.
  • You consider production observability in every conversation about performance you have. You seek to measure & collect data.
  • You have a customer-service mindset toward the engineers you serve. You are a paver of roads, not a gatekeeper. You reason about cost/speed/safety tradeoffs out loud.
What You'll Do
  • Design, implementation, and evolution of reliable, scalable platform infrastructure supporting our SaaS products and APIs.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to evolve platform architecture over time, supporting safe system decomposition, scalable service boundaries, expand-and-contract migrations, versioning and deprecation lifecycles, and fleet-wide upgrades.
  • Architect and maintain infrastructure-as-code frameworks and automation standards to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments.
  • Establish observability as a default platform capability by ensuring standardized metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and dashboards are automatically available for new services, and continuously refine these practices to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
  • Own and improve incident response frameworks, root cause analysis processes, and post-incident reviews, driving systemic improvements.
  • Define and guide service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets to support reliability-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to embed reliability, operability, and scalability considerations into system architecture and deployment workflows.
  • Lead improvements to CI/CD pipelines, progressive delivery practices (canary releases, blue/green deployments, and feature flags) and platform tooling to increase developer velocity and make frequent deployments routine and low-risk.
  • Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and scaling strategies to ensure platform readiness for growth and peak usage.
  • Collaborate with Security and Engineering leadership to ensure platform resilience, data protection, and compliance best practices are embedded in infrastructure design.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across teams, influencing platform standards and architectural best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and runbooks to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support as needed to maintain system uptime and reliability
  • Other Duties
  • Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for the job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
What You'll Bring
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles within a SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and supporting highly available, production-grade cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), networking, and distributed systems architecture.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipeline design.
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS systems with high availability, uptime, and performance requirements.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience leading complex technical initiatives or serving as a senior technical advisor across engineering teams.
Essential Skills
  • Strong systems-thinking and architectural judgment, with the ability to design scalable, resilient solutions.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across distributed systems.
  • Ability to influence technical direction without direct authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document architecture decisions and operational processes.
  • Ability to balance long-term platform strategy with short-term business priorities.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across Engineering, Product, and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Tools You'll Use
  • Slack
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • GitHub
  • Visual Studio Code / IDE
  • Datadog
