Energy Balance Counseling Services is actively seeking a skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to enhance our team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized mental health care, primarily focusing on individuals affected by trauma. Energy Balance Counseling Services is a dedicated outpatient mental health clinic located in Lynn, Massachusetts. This position is full-time with a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining engagement with our outpatient office and team. • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and craft tailored treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, featuring goals that promote resilience and healing.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to ensure effective outcomes.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, empowering patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and engage in their healing journey.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care, ensuring holistic treatment for mental health concerns.
• Offer crisis intervention and support, particularly in trauma-related emergencies, fostering immediate safety and stability for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, which fosters understanding and active participation in treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that focus on enhancing trauma-informed practices.
• Commit to staying informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve treatment outcomes.

The therapist will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma and exhibit symptoms related to PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Our approach emphasizes understanding each patient’s unique history and challenges, tailoring interventions to meet their specific needs effectively. The ability to cultivate a safe therapeutic relationship is critical in empowering patients on their path to recovery.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health setting, preferably focusing on trauma.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to patient care and documentation.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Familiarity with clinical toolsets and methodologies specifically designed for trauma recovery—such as EMDR and TF-CBT—will be highly valued. Candidates who maintain a balance of clinical competence and empathetic engagement will excel in this role.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD $90,000 – $110,000 annually.
