Their primary role is to ensure that sensitive information is securely protected from unauthorized access by applying encryption protocols to data at rest, in transit, and sometimes during processing. They collaborate with IT teams to identify security needs, troubleshoot encryption issues, and stay updated on the latest encryption technologies and threats. Working remotely allows them to provide these services to clients or employers from any location using secure connections.
