Job description

About the Role

TeleMed2U is seeking a empathetic Californialicensed Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our clinical team in a fully virtual, telehealthonly role. This position delivers evidencebased medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to adult patients through secure video visits. There are no inperson, onsite, or hybrid requirements.

The ideal candidate is comfortable practicing independently in a remote environment, values patientcentered care, and collaborates effectively with a multidisciplinary virtual care team.

What You'll do

  • Provide 100% virtual medical nutrition therapy (MNT) via secure telehealth platform
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including dietary intake, lifestyle factors, and clinical history
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on provider diagnoses and evidencebased guidelines
  • Support patients managing chronic and preventive health conditions, including:
    • Diabetes and prediabetes
    • Obesity and weight management
    • Cardiometabolic conditions (hypertension, dyslipidemia)
    • Gastrointestinal conditions
    • Endocrinerelated nutrition concerns (thyroid disease, PCOS, metabolic syndrome)
  • Deliver nutrition counseling, goal setting, and ongoing education to support sustainable behavior change
  • Review labs, clinical documentation, and care plans to guide treatment recommendations
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Collaborate virtually with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical care teams
  • Adhere to telehealth best practices, HIPAA standards, and internal clinical protocols
  • Maintain active licensure and compliance with California regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or outpatient nutrition experience
  • Prior telehealth or remote clinical experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evidencebased medical nutrition therapy and chronic disease management
  • Comfortable delivering care exclusively in a virtual clinical environment
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote, multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
  • Reliable internet connection and private workspace suitable for telehealth visits
  • Bilingual a plus

Licenses & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Nutrition required.
  • Registered Dietician (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Certification is required.
