• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions that cater to the emotional and psychological needs of clients.
• Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to develop, implement, and adapt tailored treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client progress and therapy sessions in line with legal and clinical standards.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and training sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and competencies.
• Monitor client feedback and treatment outcomes to revise treatment goals and strategies effectively.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as suitable for your clients.
• Engage in self-reflection and professional development activities to continually advance your clinical practice.

As a Mental Health Therapist Intern, you will work with a diverse range of individuals seeking support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our clients come from different backgrounds and may include children, adolescents, adults, and families. Your role will be to cultivate a therapeutic alliance with clients and provide them with tools to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

• Must hold an active intern license in Washington State (such as LMHCA or MFT Intern).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships and establish rapport with clients in an outpatient care environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly concerning clinical documentation and treatment planning.
• Strong communication skills to articulate treatment strategies and client progress during supervision.

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have previous internship or volunteer experience in mental health settings. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling methods will be advantageous to succeeding in this role.
