GTM Engineer

Atlanta, GA • Remote

Full-time

Job description

Remote role in the US, Canada or Europe

Role Overview

At Uncapped, we help ambitious founders realize their dreams. Acquisition today is concentrated heavily on a single channel, and our outbound motion isn't set up to change that: sending infrastructure is misconfigured, deliverability is inconsistent, and the tools meant to power outbound duplicate each other instead of working as one system. As our GTM Engineer, you'll own outbound end to end and build it into a real engine: cold email, LinkedIn and signal-based prospecting running at scale, on infrastructure that's actually built to hold up.

A note on the word "engineer": this is a go-to-market role, not a software engineering one. You won't work on Uncapped's product codebase or ship application features. Your building blocks are Clay, sequencers, enrichment APIs, CRM data and deliverability tooling - with SQL and light scripting as accelerants, not the job itself. If you've built an outbound engine before, you'll recognise this role immediately. If your background is software engineering and you've never personally run a cold outbound campaign, this isn't the right fit.

This is a build-from-the-ground-up role. You'll be the person who takes a fragmented, underperforming outbound motion and turns it into a coherent, multi-channel engine. You'll work cross-functionally with SDRs, AEs, RevOps and Partnerships to develop plays that plug straight into that engine, not around it.

About Uncapped

Founded in 2019, Uncapped is a leading fintech provider of working & growth capital to e-commerce companies in North America and Europe. We leverage multiple data sources and use cutting-edge models to make credit decisions faster and safer. We work with some of the largest global e-commerce platforms - including Amazon and Walmart - and strive to be the best alternative lender globally.

What You Will Do

You will own outbound end-to-end for Uncapped, from sending infrastructure and deliverability through to the data that decides who we reach and how.

  • Sending infrastructure & deliverability: own domains, mailboxes, warmup, rotation and authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC); monitor inbox placement and scale sending volume without burning domains
  • Prospecting & enrichment: build list-building and enrichment waterfalls (Clay or equivalent) and wire in signals - hiring, funding, storefront and marketplace data, intent - so campaigns start from the right accounts, not a static list
  • Data & targeting strategy: build ICP models, scoring frameworks and segmentation logic so outbound is laser-focused on high-intent, high-fit accounts
  • SDR enablement: equip our SDRs with tooling, playbooks and data insights to maximize efficiency and conversion across the funnel
  • Tech stack ownership: consolidate and own the GTM stack - CRM (HubSpot), sequencing, enrichment, intent - into one system instead of tools that duplicate each other
  • Performance analytics: track and report the full chain from send reply meeting pipeline, and improve it through experimentation
  • Cross-functional alignment: work with SDRs, AEs, RevOps and Partnerships so outbound plays plug into the broader GTM strategy

Requirements

Who you are

  • 4+ years in GTM, growth, RevOps or sales development operations - not software engineering. You've personally built and run outbound campaigns end to end, and can walk us through one: tooling, sending volumes, deliverability setup, reply and meeting rates, what broke and what you changed
  • Deliverability-literate: you can explain how you'd structure domains and mailboxes for a given volume, what you monitor, and what you do when placement dips
  • Tool-fluent and opinionated: hands-on with Clay (or similar), at least one sequencer (Instantly, Smartlead, Outreach, Apollo), a CRM, and enrichment/intent providers - and you have views on which are best-in-class and why
  • Technical enough: comfortable with SQL, APIs, webhooks and light scripting as tools for GTM work - designing a scoring model or wiring an enrichment flow yourself, not building software products
  • Someone who cares deeply about craft and impact, not just output - you take pride in doing great work, even on small details
  • Curious and collaborative: energized by talking to SDRs and AEs to understand their workflows and build systems that drive results

This probably isn't for you if

  • Your experience is in software engineering and you're looking to transition into GTM without having run outbound yourself
  • You've never owned cold email deliverability or built a prospect list from scratch
  • You're looking for a role writing production code
