Job description

Step into a dynamic elementary teaching opportunity focused on dual-language instruction and ESL support for a well-respected educational setting near Round Lake, IL. This contract position runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027, offering full-time roles supporting a diverse student population. Multiple openings are available—two in 5th Grade Dual Math/Science, one in 5th Grade Dual Social Studies/ELA, one in 6th Grade Dual Math/Science, as well as an ESL teaching position for K-2, specifically working with PreK students as English Second Language learners. All responsibilities are conducted onsite.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License with the relevant endorsements for the subject and grade you wish to teach.
  • Demonstrated understanding of curriculum development, effective instructional planning, and classroom delivery methods.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to foster student engagement and collaborate with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in your assigned subject(s) and grade level(s).
  • Support dual-language learning through innovative instructional strategies and scaffolded support.
  • For ESL roles, provide targeted language instruction to young English language learners, primarily in PreK–2.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and actively contribute to school-wide initiatives.
