Duties
Help

• You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain generators, transfer switches, and related electrical systems.
• You will maintain portable and stationary generators, ensuring readiness for emergency response.
• You will install, modify, test, and repair electrical equipment, wiring, breakers, relays, and controls.
• You will inspect and service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems.
• You will monitor fuel levels, refuel equipment, and maintain fuel records.
• You will comply with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and environmental regulations while documenting work and maintaining a safe work area.

• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position requires rotating shift work.
• This position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle and heavy equipment. You will be required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and base driving privileges.
• You will be required to obtain an Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 12 months of appointment, if not already licensed.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: Performing common tasks including the ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing generator equipment, automated and manual transfer switches, and auxiliary multi-fuel engine systems.
