The Development Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development process for assigned projects, collaborating closely with Real Estate, Legal, Operator, Client Program Leads, as well as external professionals and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with client's Real Estate and Design teams to provide strategic input during project development phases
  • Lead and manage outsourced partners, including surveyors, sign vendors, and geotechnical/environmental specialists for due diligence on proposed reinvestment projects
  • Oversee civil engineers, architects, sign vendors, traffic consultants, and land use attorneys throughout the project approval process
  • Work with the client and development team to value engineer site plans and develop accurate project cost estimates
  • Represent the client at public hearings during the project approval process
  • Maintain regular communication with Operators, reviewing plans and status throughout development
  • Create and manage schedule projections for construction readiness through all stages of the development process
  • Facilitate smooth project transitions to Construction Managers
  • Review and recommend approval of contracts and purchase orders
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Qualify and approve project-related invoices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate or related field
  • 3-10 years of project management experience in retail construction or similar industry
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of inspiring teams to achieve objectives
  • Ability to represent the client at public hearings
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and negotiate project costs effectively
  • Proficiency in interpreting architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering documents
  • Proactive mindset with a strong desire to take initiative
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Travel Requirements: 30-40%

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to drive successful project development and execution.

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
