Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manager of IT Consultants to lead a dynamic team of SAP specialists. In this role, you will drive team performance and skills development, manage project costs, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a strong, strategic leader with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SAP EWM/TM experience (desirable), capable of balancing operational excellence with client satisfaction. This position requires regular travel to client sites (up to 30% of the time) to support implementations, training, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of SAP consultants, fostering a high-performance culture. Define and drive priorities, set goals, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate career progression for team members.

Skills Development: Implement training programs to enhance the technical and soft skills of consultants, including certifications in SAP modules, best practices in warehouse optimization, and emerging technologies like automation and AI integration.

Cost Management: Manage organization budgets, resource allocation, and implement cost controls to ensure profitability. Monitor expenses, optimize staffing, and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.

Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for EWM-related projects. Gather requirements, manage expectations, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that align with client business objectives.

Project Oversight: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver SAP EWM solutions, ensuring compliance with timelines, quality standards, and SAP best practices.

Strategic Planning: Contribute to the firm's SAP strategy by identifying market trends, recommending process improvements, and supporting business development efforts.

Travel and On-Site Support: Conduct regular visits to client sites for hands-on leadership, workshops, and troubleshooting, while maintaining productivity in a remote setting. Required travel up to 50%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in a leadership and / or managerial role.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing teams, with experience in remote team environments.
  • Understanding of SAP EWM functionalities is desirable, including warehouse processes, inventory management, and transportation management preferred.
  • Experience with cost management tools and methodologies, such as ensuring actual costs do not exceed budgets. Earned Value Management System (EVM / EVMS knowledge highly desirable).
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with a history of successful stakeholder management and project delivery.
  • Experience working with the Department of War or other Federal agencies desirable.

Required and Desired Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on resource allocation and management, coaching, and skills development.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Outstanding communication skills for client interactions and executive leadership briefings.
  • Proficiency in SAP EWM configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., TM, MM, SD, FICO) desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise in complex warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall methodologies, project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project), and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50% domestic and potentially international) while working remotely.

Compensation:

In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $140,000 – $165,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
