About Fulfillment IQ (FIQ):

Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation company that helps brands, retailers, and 3PLs design, build, and scale high-performance logistics operations.

We work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology where we solve complex, real-world problems across warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain execution.

Our teams combine deep domain expertise with strong technical capability, delivering outcomes through consulting, systems implementation, and proprietary platforms that accelerate time-to-value and reduce delivery risk.

If you enjoy working in complex environments, partnering closely with clients, and seeing your work make a tangible impact on how global commerce moves, this is the place where your skills and judgment truly come to life.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Consultant with a solid foundation in supply chain operations and WMS implementations. Candidates with experience across WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, HighJump, SAP EWM, etc.) and strong knowledge of warehouse processes are encouraged to apply. Suitable candidates will receive client-specific training during onboarding.

This role blends technical aptitude and functional expertise to implement, configure, and support WMS solutions tailored to our clients' business needs, with a strong emphasis on advanced SQL (including stored procedures) and hands-on troubleshooting across application, integration, and database layers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support WMS implementation and configuration projects end-to-end.
  • Analyze business, functional, and integration requirements to design effective WMS solutions.
  • Configure core WMS modules: Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns, Picking, Shipping, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to develop custom logic using client configuration and extensibility tools.
  • Support API testing (e.g., Postman) and manage system integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, and MHE/automation systems.
  • Write, review, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures within relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
  • Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, and performance tuning (queries, stored procedures, indexing, execution plans).
  • Partner with clients and stakeholders during SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live phases.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve both functional and technical problems within defined SLAs.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation: technical designs, test plans, runbooks, and configuration records.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in WMS implementations or supply chain execution systems.
  • Strong techno-functional background in any WMS platform.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse workflows: receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including designing and optimizing stored procedures, complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning on relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
  • Experience with API testing tools and system integrations (ERP/OMS/TMS/MHE).
  • Demonstrable troubleshooting and debugging skills across application, integration, and data layers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • Experience integrating WMS with Goods-to-Person, AS/RS, or other automation technologies.
  • Exposure to OMS, TMS, or EDI messaging standards.
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approximately 50% travel, based on customer needs.

Note:

We are open to candidates from any WMS or broader supply chain background who demonstrate the right technical and functional mindset. Suitable candidates will receive client-specific training as part of their onboarding.

Month-to-Month Activities (Summary):

Months 1-2:

  • Onboarding, deep dive into WMS platforms, familiarize with supply chain workflows, shadow implementation teams, review documentation and tools (SQL, API testing).

Months 3-4:

  • Engage with clients for requirement gathering, analyze business processes, draft functional specifications, participate in Agile ceremonies, start basic configuration tasks.

Months 5-6:

  • Lead configuration of core WMS modules (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory), collaborate on integrations (ERP, OMS, TMS), support SIT/UAT phases, begin troubleshooting and optimization.
