Work Environment

You will engage with students, families, and education staff using a variety of digital platforms to provide therapy sessions, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy to students coping with a range of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ emotional and behavioral functioning to inform treatment decisions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect an understanding of the students’ unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate closely with educators, school psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and support services, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student care.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessment and feedback.
• Provide training and workshops for school staff on mental health awareness and strategies to support students effectively.
• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse student population within a remote educational environment. You will work with children and adolescents from various backgrounds, facing challenges that impact their emotional and social development. Your role will not only involve direct therapy but also community outreach and education efforts to foster a supportive network around each student.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health services, including psychotherapy, especially in school or youth settings.
• Strong clinical skills with a thorough understanding of psychological assessments and the implementation of treatment plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHRs) and telehealth platforms for patient management and documentation.
• Awareness of the unique challenges faced by students, particularly those related to school-based issues and family dynamics.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within educational settings, specifically collaborating with teachers and school administrators.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Experience in providing training or education to school staff regarding mental health issues and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
