Job description

The Service Contracts Manager is responsible for qualifying incoming Services contracts requests as well as creating, editing, and maintaining Statements of Work (SOWs) and related Services contracts. This Contracts Manager role autonomously drives the delivery of Services offerings to both internal and external clients by assisting with the development of SOWs, Service Orders (SOs), Change Orders, and Task Orders, as well as quality assurance for any outgoing services opportunities. The Service Contracts Manager advises and deploys appropriate contract pathways by optimizing Optiv's financial, operational, legal, and business terms, and is primarily responsible for supporting Optiv's Sales areas organization through the use, maintenance, expansion, and training related to Optiv's contract vehicles and sales efforts. The role supports streamlining system workflows, enabling field sales and scoping teams, interfacing with partner and client contacts and ensuring contract compliance. The Contract Manager acts as a subject matter expert for the sales and scoping teams, providing direction, training, and reporting.
How you'll make an impact
  • Interface with other Contract Managers and senior members of the department on contractual record keeping, database maintenance, process improvement initiatives, and other items required to support the contract administration function
  • Review, draft, and leverage content to create legally binding services contracts to support contract terms for transacting Optiv and vendor services engagements
  • Manage and prioritize a large volume of SOWs and deadlines
  • Influence Optiv's services purchasing decisions through alternative business modeling, leveraging all organizational buying, and understanding supplier motivators
  • Negotiate contracts by optimizing Optiv's operational, legal, and business terms while mitigating risk
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and a unified style based on Optiv and industry standards
  • Maintain proficiency with the SOW development processes and toolsets, and demonstrate flexibility with new procedures
  • Communicate effectively and positively in a timely manner
  • Partner with and advise Optiv's various stakeholders on services selling best practices
  • Demonstrate knowledge in contracting and procurement best practices
  • Demonstrate an expertise in Optiv and vendor professional services
  • Manage the SOW signature process
  • Manage, educate, report, and expand Optiv services contract vehicles
  • Enable field sales on the use of contract vehicles
  • May assist in the design of documentation templates
  • Provide mentorship and peer review
  • Ensure compliance to transaction regulations terms, including but not limited to price, acceptance, fee accruals, and payments.
  • Review Contract Vehicle quotes for accuracy prior to services purchase
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure all necessary documentation and reference information is stored in the CRM and supporting Client Project Repository
  • Compile contract information and direction for Legal to amend contracts as needed
  • Build relationships with alliance partnerships
  • Develop and retain industry knowledge to be used to identify expertise.
  • Commitment to developing knowledge and experience
  • Manage Contract Vehicle databases and SharePoint sites with copies of contracts and eligible vendors
  • Act as liaison between internal and external contract stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree Related fields of study: Communications, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Paralegal, Pre-Law
  • 4-7 years total combined related work experience
  • 1 - 2 years minimum in contracts, supply chain, procurement, supplier management, and/or asset management work experience
  • 5 years professional work experience directly related required
  • Cybersecurity or MSSP industry experience preferred
  • Prior experience in Client Relationship Management software (CRM) required. Salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SmartDocs, SharePoint, Adobe, and DocuSign
  • Ability to work in a sales partnership setting
  • Occasional travel, on-site meetings/evets
  • Excellent written and verbal English
