Key responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture for the global LE-TRA to SAP TM transformation.

  • Lead discovery, fit-gap analysis, architecture assessment, and proof-of-concept activities.

  • Define the target architecture, transition strategy, and integration approach across SAP TM, LE-TRA, and related systems.

Job description

Senior SAP Solution Architect / Chief Architect – SAP TM Transformation - Remote with some travel

Skills & Experience

  • Deep hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM) and SAP LE-TRA (Logistics Execution – Transportation). Preferably SAP TM certified.
  • Strong experience with LE-TRA to SAP TM transformation in complex, highly integrated SAP landscapes
  • Good understanding of transportation and warehousing ecosystems and external platforms such as Blue Yonder TMS, Blue Yonder PrIME, MIC, and similar solutions
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration technologies and patterns, including EDI, IDoc, XML, SAP PO and event-driven integration
  • Proven ability to assess complex legacy landscapes, dependencies and customizations and translate them into viable target architecture and transition options
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and advisory skills; ability to act as a trusted advisor, articulate architectural trade-offs, and drive discovery and solution decision-making
  • Strong understanding of large-scale SAP transformation delivery, architecture governance and implementation lifecycle

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end solution architecture for the global LE-TRA → SAP TM transformation
  • Lead Discovery / Phase 0, fit-gap analysis, architecture option assessment and PoC activities
  • Define the target architecture and transition strategy across SAP TM, LE-TRA and S/4HANA
  • Own end-to-end solution design across SAP TM, Blue Yonder TMS, WMS/PrIME/RTCIS, MIC and related integrations, supported by domain SMEs
  • Drive the redesign of LE-TRA shipment-centric processes into the SAP TM FO/FU/event-based model

  • Own integration architecture, interface principles and event-driven patterns in collaboration with account integration teams
  • Define coexistence, migration, cutover and phased rollout architecture
  • Lead the Design Authority and govern key architectural decisions, exceptions and deviations

  • End-to-end program/project management ownership
  • A configuration-focused / cookbook SAP TM implementation profile
  • SAP Basis, infrastructure or TM installation expertise
  • Deep hands-on expertise in individual third-party platforms — domain SMEs will supplement the architect where required

Soft Skills

  • Ability to lead requirements sessions and workshops
  • Previous led Warehouse Mgmt Projects as Architect for multiple implementations
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to operate independently in fast-paced environments
