Your responsibilities will encompass conducting thorough mental health evaluations, crafting personalized treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial mental health assessments and risk evaluations with clients, documenting each case meticulously through all phases of treatment.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate weekly individual and group therapy sessions, employing various counseling techniques and interventions to foster emotional and psychological growth.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on client feedback and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated care strategies for clients.
  • Proactively follow up with healthcare providers for clients who are hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care and smooth transitions upon their return to outpatient services.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and provide strategies for clients and their families to mitigate challenges.
  • Offer guidance and support to family members of clients, equipping them to handle mental and emotional challenges effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele who may present with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. Our population includes individuals across various age groups, socio-economic backgrounds, and mental health conditions, fostering an environment of inclusivity and empathy.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • A pass score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • A solid understanding of psychotherapy best practices and familiarity with the standards set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Strong knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a track record of effective therapy outcomes.
  • Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, enhancing client care through coordinated efforts.
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
