About the Role:
The Junior Metrics & Data Analyst provides analytical and administrative support to Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (COMNAVSURFLANT) Force Generation readiness initiatives. The position supports analysis of Personnel, Equipment, Supply, Training, Ordnance, Networks, and Infrastructure (PESTONI) data; assists with development of metrics, reports, visualizations, and analytical products; and supports technical exchange meetings, working groups, and senior-level decision support.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

  • Support data collection, cleansing, validation, analysis, and interpretation of Navy readiness information.
  • Assist with analysis of PESTONI metrics to identify readiness trends, gaps, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, data summaries, charts, visualizations, and draft analytical products for Government review.
  • Support analytical working groups, technical exchange meetings, deep-dive sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Coordinate video teleconferences and analytical meetings; maintain distribution lists and action items resulting from analytical reviews.
  • Provide analytical inputs, data-driven summaries, and draft visualizations for Government-prepared point papers, memoranda, and senior-level briefs.
  • Support senior analysts in developing metrics, monitoring frameworks, analyses of alternatives, business case analyses, and readiness assessments.
  • Maintain required training and comply with Government and company policies and procedures.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in the United States Navy in an Engineering or Combat Systems Department related billet at sea.
  • Two (2) years of experience on an Echelon 3 or higher staff is desired.
  • Two (2) years of experience in data analysis for complex projects.
  • Experience analyzing metrics associated with PESTONI readiness pillars.
  • Ability to support data collection, interpretation, reporting, and development of data visualizations and analytical products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree or higher from an accredited college or university. A degree in an analytics- or computer-related field is desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
