Data Analyst
Full-Time | Hybrid (potential for remote)

The Data Analyst plays an important role on the Analytics Team at Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) by supporting agency-wide data needs. Under the supervision of the Data Scientist, this position is responsible for gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on data from NKHSโ€™s electronic medical record (EMR) system and other sources. The Data Analyst works collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure data is accurate, meaningful, and supports informed decision-making across the organization.ย 

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Extract, clean, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources
โ€ข Prepare reports and data summaries for a variety of audiences
โ€ข Create dashboards and visualizations to highlight key metrics and trends
โ€ข Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to monitor data quality and accuracy
โ€ข Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs
โ€ข Contribute to the development and standardization of data analysis and data management best practices
โ€ข Assist the Data Scientist with statistical modeling projects, including data preprocessing, visualization, and validation of results
โ€ข Maintain compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards

Position Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
โ€ข One to three (1โ€“3) years of experience in data analysis or a related field
โ€ข Strong proficiency in SQL
โ€ข Advanced Excel skills
โ€ข Proficiency in a programming language used for data analysis (e.g., R or Python)
โ€ข Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
โ€ข Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
โ€ข Understanding of basic statistical theory and data analysis techniques
โ€ข Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
โ€ข Experience with non-profit, social impact, or human services organizations preferred
โ€ข Experience with program evaluation or impact assessment preferred
