We are looking to hire a Senior eCommerce Manager immediately in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Position Overview:

The Senior eCommerce Manager is responsible for developing capabilities to enable acceleration of profitable online growth and McCormick share across US retail omnichannel platforms and pure-play channels. This role leads day-to-day digital shelf execution, content optimization, and performance analysis to improve conversion and overall product content performance.  The position partners with Sales, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Digital Operations, Retail Media and external partners to deliver best-in-class execution, sustainable growth and future-proof capability development.  Reports to VP, eCommerce and Shopper Marketing.  Leads and develops multiple direct reports.

  • Defines strategy, manages execution, and continuously tracks and improves our performance across Omnichannel retail platforms.  Analyzes McCormick eCommerce performance and shares insights and action plan recommendations with Senior Leadership.  Tracks digital commerce & Retail Media environment for new and emerging services and platforms to identify new capabilities and/or business opportunities.
  • Lead digital shelf excellence: optimize PDP content, keywords, images, ratings/reviews, and taxonomy to improve discoverability and conversion.  Influences Retail Media and Search strategy and execution.
  • Lead development US Consumer Sales Omnichannel Capabilities Road Map. Partners with Sales Leadership and sales teams, Global Marketing, Trade Marketing, HQ & Field Category Management and IT to integrate digital commerce strategies, grow customer intimacy and McCormick sales and share.
  • Build eCommerce expertise across customer facing teams.  Coaches, and develops employees through training, aligned KPIs and organizational goals.  Shares insights with Sales Leadership Team and at National Sales Meeting.  Manage workplans and development of 4 direct/indirect reports.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Support annual operating plan and monthly business review materials.
  • Develop playbooks and standard operating procedures for key eCommerce processes.
  • Coach junior team members on platform best practices and analytics.
  • Benchmark competitor activity and recommend test-and-learn opportunities.
  • Represent eCommerce in cross-functional meetings and change initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, category management, or omnichannel sales.
  • Direct/indirect supervisory experience.
  • CPG industry experience with omnichannel customer teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing retailer.com and/or marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Target).
  • Strong analytical capability with proficiency in Excel and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Exposure and thought leadership in the digital space.
  • Experience with digital shelf and performance metrics, including conversion, ROAS, share of search, and OOS.
  • Ability to inspire others through passion for achieving success.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organizational skills required.
  • Displays curiosity and learning agility, proactively developing expertise in data management, analytics, and AI‑readiness.
  • Management responsibility for cross-functional team in a matrixed environment.
  • Leadership and decision making that impacts multiple functions.
  • Translates data into actionable insights with business-building or risk mitigating recommendations.
  • Operational efficiency and effectiveness and budget management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with syndicated and eRetail analytics tools and managed service providers (e.g., Profitero, Circana, DetailPage).
  • Hands-on experience with retailer specific platforms and retail media platforms and agency collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of PIM/DAM systems and content governance.
  • MBA or advanced degree

As a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future. 

Base Salary: 121,900 - 219,410

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
