• Provide comprehensive psychotherapy and mental health services to clients dealing with varied emotional and psychological concerns.
• Utilize psychological assessments and diagnostic tools to evaluate clients' mental health conditions, ensuring accurate and timely diagnosis.
• Develop customized treatment plans by establishing therapeutic goals that address the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
• Deliver crisis intervention services, including conducting suicide risk assessments and facilitating necessary hospitalizations when clients are in immediate danger.
• Engage in collaborative care with other mental health practitioners and healthcare workers to ensure a seamless approach to client treatment.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of clinical policies and procedures that align with best practices in mental health care.
• Participate actively in ongoing training and staff meetings, staying current with developments in the field of social work and mental health.

The clients you will support come from diverse backgrounds and may be facing complex issues related to grief, loss, mental health disorders, and life transitions associated with hospice care. Your work will be essential in providing not just short-term interventions but also long-term support to help them navigate challenging emotional landscapes.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health settings, particularly in providing direct services to individuals, couples, and families.
• Thorough understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and interventions relevant to mental health issues.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly.
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively engage with diverse populations, displaying cultural competence and sensitivity.

• Experience in hospice care or end-of-life counseling is highly desirable.
• A background in crisis intervention and risk assessment is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to support documentation and client management.
