Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through one-on-one virtual consultations.
• Design individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Facilitate regular sessions, employing a variety of techniques to empower clients in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
• Provide referrals to ancillary services or other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, when necessary, to support holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Mercy Vale, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals of different ages, socio-economic backgrounds, and cultural identities. You will encounter clients with a wide range of mental health issues, from stress and anxiety to severe psychological disorders and substance abuse. Your role is integral in fostering a safe, trusting environment where clients feel comfortable exploring sensitive topics.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the State of Georgia.
• At least four years of clinical experience in a similar setting, demonstrating proficiency in counseling and therapeutic techniques.
• A deep understanding of mental health issues, interventions, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience

• Clinical experience delivering both individual and group therapy, particularly in virtual formats.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
• Experience with crisis intervention and developing strategies tailored to unique situations faced by clients.
• Strong background in conducting assessments and adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.

Compensation and Benefits
