• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of clients in the detox center to inform treatment planning.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing solution-focused therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with health regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals on the treatment team to coordinate care and address complex patient needs.
• Educate and support patients and their families on coping strategies, therapeutic options, and available resources throughout their recovery journey.
• Stay abreast of developments in mental health research and therapeutic modalities to enhance your practice and contribute to patient care innovations.

This position primarily serves a diverse patient population in recovery from substance use disorders, including individuals at various stages of their detoxification process. As an LCSW, you will work closely with patients who may also present with co-occurring mental health disorders, providing an integrative approach to treatment that addresses both substance use and mental health needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW-C license issued by the state of Maryland is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of solution-focused psychotherapy interventions and an understanding of the unique needs of individuals in a detox setting.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with patients and their families.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to inform treatment decisions effectively.

• Experience in a detox or addiction treatment setting is highly desirable.
• Background in working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competencies in mental health.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., EMR) for record-keeping and documentation.
