• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop personalized therapy plans for clients.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy with individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, targeting specific mental health challenges to foster a supportive peer environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and trainings to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge of emerging mental health research.

Your work will primarily focus on adolescents and their families who face various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. Emphasizing accessibility, you will help clients who may otherwise lack the means to receive quality therapeutic support.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Current and unrestricted licensing as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, demonstrating effectiveness in providing mental health care.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical guidelines governing counseling practices.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and telehealth technologies to streamline documentation and client management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a strong therapeutic rapport with diverse clientele.
