• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate the needs and treatment goals of clients struggling with substance abuse.
• Participate in training and supervision sessions with licensed counselors to enhance your clinical skills.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and senior counselors.
• Provide counseling and support using therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Support clients through crisis situations while maintaining a calm and empathetic demeanor.
• Engage in ongoing learning through participation in workshops, seminars, and team meetings.

In this role, you will primarily work with adults and adolescents experiencing substance dependencies. Our diverse client population may include individuals facing co-occurring disorders, trauma histories, and socio-economic challenges. You will learn to tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering their recovery journey through empathy and evidence-based interventions.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Commitment to ethical practice and continued professional development.
• Basic understanding of addiction and mental health principles.

• Experience in a mental health, counseling, or social services setting is a plus but not required.
• Previous volunteer or internship experience in addiction recovery services.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
