Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions with clients via secure video chat, guiding them in improving their mental health and emotional well-being.
• Engage clients in conversations about their thoughts and feelings, helping them to gain insight into personal challenges and relational dynamics.
• Assume the role of client advocate, assisting clients in establishing therapeutic goals and navigating their recovery journeys.
• Assess clients’ mental health conditions thoroughly and formulate individualized treatment plans that utilize your expertise and evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with pre-screened clients who are stable and present with low acuity mental health issues. This responsible caseload allows you to focus on providing thoughtful care without the overwhelming pressures associated with high-acuity cases. In our clinic, you'll have the opportunity to connect with a diverse array of clients, learning from their unique experiences while supporting them in achieving their mental health goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Possession of an independent license (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) issued by the state board; limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
• Strong ability to conduct professional evaluations, make informed clinical decisions, and draft comprehensive treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with a genuine empathetic approach to client relationships.
• Proficiency with technology and competence in using online platforms for therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in community mental health, working with diverse populations, and familiarity with remote therapy tools is highly advantageous. A background in developing treatment plans that reflect cultural competence will enrich your practice and enhance client engagement.
