Equivity is seeking a Remote Bankruptcy Paralegal with recent, hands-on Chapter 11 experience, including exposure to Subchapter V matters. This role is ideal for someone who is confident managing the lifecycle of complex business bankruptcy cases and is looking for consistent, long-term remote work supporting multiple attorneys.
In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated, long-term team of legal professionals, partnering directly with attorneys while being fully supported by Equivity’s internal operations and leadership. • Assist with Subchapter V matters, including trustee coordination and required filings
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and amendments in bankruptcy court
  • Prepare hearing and 341 meeting materials, ensuring all required documentation is complete and timely
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, trustees, courts, and creditors to move matters forward efficiently

  • Maintain accurate case files using platforms such as BestCase, PACER, and Clio
About You

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Bankruptcy
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum availability of 20 hours/week to start
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skill
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Experience with legal software (Clio or similar is a plus)
  • Experience with Bankruptcy software such as BestCase and NextChapter
  • Windows-based computer preferred
  • Availability and responsiveness within 1 hour during standard business hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Why You’ll Love Working Here

We provide ongoing work with established attorneys while maintaining the flexibility of remote work. You’ll be supported by an experienced operations team and work in a collaborative, professional environment that values quality and long-term relationships.
Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
