Hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 remote. in Greenwood Village, CO

Our client seeks a Backend Support Engineer to build internal tools and scripts that improve support workflows and operational efficiency while providing Tier 1 support for live APIs. The role will develop dashboards, monitoring, and alerting, partner with product and engineering, and contribute to an agentic support model with secure, intelligent integrations. This is a 3-month contract with potential to extend.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Build internal tools and scripts to debug and triage issues, streamline support workflows, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for live APIs, perform initial triage and issue isolation, identify impacted layers, and escalate as needed.
  • Support customer-facing communication and partner closely with product and other engineering teams.
  • Develop dashboards for platform visibility and implement monitoring and alerting for issue detection.
  • Package tools and deploy production-ready solutions with emphasis on timely delivery and strategic contribution.
Experience Requirements:
  • Ability to deliver quickly in a tech-agnostic environment. Preference for Python or Node.js.
  • Experience with Splunk for queries and log analysis and Datadog for infrastructure dashboards and monitoring.
  • Backend focus on tooling and integrations with CI/CD via GitHub pipelines. Kubernetes is a plus.
  • SRE-type skill set with understanding of systems, workflows, and tooling integrations.
  • Familiarity with agentic and MCP concepts. Ability to integrate intelligence into solutions with attention to security implications.
  • Exposure to frontend is a plus.
