Job description

As a Document Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and testing program coding sections. In this position, you will create queries and reports utilizing database software for testing purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Develop and maintain program sections and other various documents by utilizing Publishing software for correspondence generation for new products, product and state maintenance, product approvals, product enhancements, and regulation changes. This includes, but is not limited to adding rules, conditional statements, variables for retrieving specific individual policy data and the formatting of data.

•    Test program sections and documents including creation of test plans, manual generation of correspondence and resolution of various printing, programming and generation problems.

•    Implement program sections and documents. Confirm all aspects of program sections are functional, update documentation checklists to ensure all program sections are complete and communicate to internal clients when all items have been implemented.

•    Create queries and reports utilizing database software for testing purposes.

•    Create and update documents utilizing word processing software for the Product Filing team.

Skills & Experience:

•    Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel experience required. 

•    Experience with Microsoft Access or comparable software required.

•    Experience with C# Programming or comparable programming language required.

•    Experience in life insurance industry required. 

•    2-3 years of related experience preferred. 

•    Document development and testing experience preferred. 

•    Industry recognized certifications preferred.


Education Required: Associates degree in Business required. Degree in related field of study is acceptable.

Pay Range: $22.42 to $26.00 hourly


The level of the position will be determined by relevant skills, experience and qualifications. 

The starting pay rate for this role is based on a variety of relevant factors, including location, education, experience, and skills.
