What is remote document review?

Remote document review is a legal process where attorneys or contract professionals examine and analyze documents electronically from remote locations, rather than in a traditional office setting. This work is often done for litigation, investigations, or regulatory compliance, and involves identifying relevant, privileged, or confidential information within large sets of electronic files. Advances in secure technology allow reviewers to access, review, and tag documents using specialized software, all while maintaining data security and client confidentiality. Remote document review offers flexibility for workers and law firms, as well as cost savings on office space and resources.

What are remote document review jobs?

In a remote document review job, you focus on verifying the accuracy and completion of important documents, typically while working from home or another remote location. The most common job in this field is that of remote document review attorney because most documents that need verification are legal documents, such as contracts and court filings. As part of the service you provide for a company, you may also offer legal advice when something on a document is incorrect, explain which documents are likely to be needed for a particular project, and act as a second pair of eyes for content already reviewed by an attorney. Outside of legal jobs, most remote document review roles entail duties like filing for contracts with the federal government or translating material that companies do not want to rely on one translator to review.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote document review professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Document Review professional, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a background in law—often requiring a JD degree or paralegal certification. Familiarity with e-discovery platforms such as Relativity or Concordance, as well as secure file-sharing systems, is typically expected. Excellent time management, effective written communication, and the ability to work independently are standout soft skills. These competencies ensure accurate, efficient review of legal documents while maintaining confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines.

What are some common challenges faced in remote document review roles, and how can they be managed effectively?

Remote document review professionals often face challenges such as maintaining focus during repetitive tasks, meeting strict deadlines, and navigating communication barriers with team members. To manage these effectively, it's important to set up a distraction-free workspace, leverage organizational tools to track progress, and proactively communicate with project managers and peers about any questions or issues. Utilizing secure collaboration platforms and regularly scheduled check-ins can also help keep the review process efficient and aligned with team goals.

Job description

** IN house or Remote**

You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want. Zig Ziglar said it. We live it. And we are looking for a Sales Manager who believes it all the way down.

Fallon Insurance Agency is a AAA Entrepreneurial Agency protecting families across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Nebraska. We are a home first, bundle focused phone sales operation with a remote team that shows up on a live sales floor every single day. We are Guardians, not order takers. We believe covered should actually mean covered, and we believe trust closes business long before price ever does.

Here is what makes this seat different, so please read it closely.

You will not be handing your producers a login and a video library. You will be the training. You will teach quoting live, on a screen share, with real households in front of you. You will teach memberships, the AAA credit card, Select Home, Select Auto, and umbrella out of your own reps, not out of a slide deck. Our producers will learn this business the way you learned it, from a person who has done it.

That means this role is only for someone who has actually sat in a AAA seat and written the business. If you have, you are going to love the freedom here. You will own the floor, you will own the training, and you will report directly to the agency owner with no layers in between.

If you have ever stayed on the line twenty minutes past quitting time because a producer was one call away from finally getting it, we should talk.

Responsibilities

Train the team personally

• Teach live quoting on screen share: Select Home, Select Auto, umbrella, and membership together in one flow

• Teach the AAA Cashback Visa conversation and the membership tier conversation from your own experience

• Build and lead new producer fast start training so a new hire is quoting inside of week one

• Assign and verify AAA compliance modules, which remain required

Run the daily rhythm of the sales floor

• Lead the morning huddle with energy, focus, and clear daily targets

• Run midday check ins so problems get caught while there is still day left to fix them

• Close each day with a recap against leading indicators and tomorrow’s numbers

Coach producers to a number

• Review recorded calls and coach to the exact moment the call broke down

• Run roleplay on openings, discovery, objections, the card ask, and the close

• Maintain individual scorecards and hold weekly one on ones

• Spot a struggling producer early and put them on a clear, documented path back

• Celebrate wins out loud and correct privately, always with respect

Own the production number

• Carry the team’s monthly written premium goal and each producer’s path to $40,000+

• Drive bundling, membership placement, credit card enrollment, and life and mortgage protection conversations into every household

• Watch quote volume, close ratio, follow up discipline, and pipeline health daily

• Hold the standard on same day AgencyZoom documentation

Build the bench

• Help interview, onboard, and ramp new producers

• Contribute to the playbooks and training curriculum

• Protect the culture, the standard, and the tone of the floor

Requirements

Required, no exceptions

• Direct hands on experience inside AAA as an insurance agent, sales agent, or sales leader

• Proven experience quoting AAA personal lines home and auto in AAA Insurance Link

• Working command of AAA membership tiers and how to sell them

• Experience selling and enrolling the AAA credit card

• Proficiency in Salesforce and the AAA Point of Contact membership system

• Demonstrated ability to train other people on all of the above, live, without relying on the AAA video library

• Proven experience leading huddles, coaching calls, and managing producers to a written premium goal

Strongly preferred

• Active Property and Casualty license, willingness to get your non resident licenses in WI, MN, IA, IL, IN, and NE, which we reimburse

• Experience managing a remote sales team

• Familiarity with AgencyZoom or a comparable CRM

• Experience with power dialers and high volume outbound phone sales

Who you are

• Relationship first. You believe people buy from people they trust.

• Coachable yourself. You take feedback as well as you give it.

• Accountable. You do not need to be chased, and you do not chase. You lead.

• Positive by default, and honest when it counts.
