Job description

Outside Sales | Marine Technology | Yacht & Marina Partnerships

About Signal Marine

Signal Marine is the premier provider of marine entertainment and connectivity solutions — and the #1 authorized DIRECTV retailer for marine use. As a division of Signal Group, LLC (an Inc. 500 company), we deliver satellite TV services with a signature White Glove experience to yacht owners, captains, marinas, and marine integrators across the country. We don't just sell technology — we make life on the water extraordinary.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven, personable, and knowledgeable Marine Technology Sales Representative to grow our presence across the yacht and marine market. This is a relationship-first sales role built for someone who understands the world of boating and can speak credibly with everyone from a dock master to the captain of a 150-foot superyacht.

You will be the face of Signal Marine on the water — developing partnerships with marinas, AV and marine integrators, yacht captains, charter companies, boat builders, and any key decision-maker involved in selecting entertainment systems for vessels. This is a largely field-based, proactive business development role with significant earning potential and the backing of an established brand with deep industry expertise.

This opportunity is fully remote but must be based in the southeast area of Florida. This position offers a base rate of $75,000-$85,000 with uncapped commission. First year OTE of $120-130,000.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and develop new business relationships with marinas, boatyards, yacht clubs, marine integrators, AV installers, boat builders/dealers, charter operators, and yacht captains.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding each customer's unique vessel setup, usage patterns, and entertainment needs — then matching them to the right marine electronics, including satellite TV, IPTV, and vessel connectivity systems.
  • Grow and manage a portfolio of dealer and integrator partners who recommend and resell Signal Marine products and services.
  • Conduct on-site visits to marinas, boatyards, trade shows, and boat shows to build visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaborate with our technical team to ensure seamless handoffs and flawless customer experience from sale through installation.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales activity using CRM tools.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, new satellite/streaming technologies, and relevant regulations.
  • Represent Signal Marine at marine industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.

Who You Are

  • You have a genuine passion for boating and the marine lifestyle — you understand the culture and can hold your own in conversations at the dock or the yacht club.
  • You are a natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly and sustains it over time.
  • You are self-motivated and comfortable operating independently across a territory.
  • You have a hunter mentality — you actively seek out new opportunities rather than waiting for leads to come to you.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, whether you're presenting to a marina owner, a professional captain, or a high-net-worth yacht owner.
  • You are technically curious and willing to learn the ins and outs of satellite TV, marine connectivity, and AV integration

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in the marine, AV/technology, telecommunications, or luxury goods space
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Comfortable with field-based sales and regular travel within an assigned territory
  • Proficiency with CRM software and standard business tools
  • Existing network within the marine industry (marina operators, integrators, captains, boat dealers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with satellite TV systems, marine electronics, or AV integration (preferred)
  • Experience selling to or working with high-net-worth clientele (preferred)
  • Knowledge of DIRECTV, DISH, Starlink, or similar platforms (preferred)

The Signal Group is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
