Remote Dna Testing Jobs in Alabama (NOW HIRING)

Remote Dna Testing information

What is remote DNA testing?

Remote DNA testing is a convenient way to collect and submit DNA samples from home or any location, without needing to visit a laboratory or clinic. Typically, a DNA testing kit is mailed to you, and you collect a sample (often a cheek swab or saliva) following the included instructions. You then send the sample back to the lab using prepaid packaging, and results are delivered securely online. Remote DNA testing is commonly used for ancestry, paternity, and health-related genetic information. It's important to choose a reputable provider to ensure privacy and accuracy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote DNA Testing Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote DNA Testing Specialist, you need a strong background in genetics or molecular biology, usually supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), secure digital communication tools, and at-home DNA test kits is essential. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to explain complex scientific concepts to clients are important soft skills. These skills ensure accurate test results, client trust, and effective operations in a remote and sensitive testing environment.

How to get a job in genetic testing?

To get a job in genetic testing, candidates typically need a background in genetics, biology, or a related field, often requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. Relevant skills include laboratory techniques, data analysis, and familiarity with genetic testing tools and protocols. Certifications or training in molecular biology or genetics can enhance employability in this field.

Can you make money doing DNA testing?

Remote DNA testing jobs, such as laboratory technicians or data analysts, typically offer compensation based on experience, hours worked, or project scope. Earnings can vary widely depending on the role, employer, and required skills, with some positions paying hourly wages or project-based fees. Success in making money in this field often depends on relevant certifications, technical skills, and the ability to work independently or remotely.

While both roles are in the genetics industry, Remote Dna Testing emphasizes laboratory work, whereas Remote Genetic Counselors focus on patient interaction and education.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote DNA testing roles, and how can they be managed?

Professionals in remote DNA testing roles often encounter challenges related to sample integrity, effective communication with clients, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Since samples are collected outside the traditional lab environment, it's crucial to provide clear instructions and support to clients to avoid contamination or improper handling. Additionally, remote testers must stay updated on data protection standards and maintain regular communication with laboratory teams to ensure accurate processing and reporting. Proactively addressing these challenges helps maintain high-quality results and client satisfaction.

How much do DNA testers make?

DNA testers, particularly those working in labs or as sample collectors, typically earn between $30,000 and $60,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and certification. Remote DNA testing roles may offer similar pay, often requiring knowledge of genetic analysis tools and quality standards.

How to become a mobile DNA tester?

To become a mobile DNA tester, you typically need a background in biology, genetics, or a related field, along with training in sample collection and handling. Certification in laboratory procedures or health and safety standards may be required, and familiarity with mobile testing equipment and protocols is beneficial. Gaining experience through internships or entry-level positions can also help establish competence in the field.

Territory: Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Memphis (TN), and Shreveport (LA). Ideally, candidates should be centrally located near a major airport hub within the region (e.g., Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis, or Little Rock).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Organ Health Specialist (OHS) – Abdominal Transplant to join our rapidly growing Organ Health Sales team. In this role, you won't just be managing a territory—you will be championing a shift in how transplant patients are cared for across the Deep South and Delta regions.

By cultivating deep clinical relationships with transplant centers, nephrologists, and surgeons, you will drive the adoption of our cutting-edge diagnostic and genetic testing portfolios. We are looking for critical thinkers who can synthesize complex clinical data and navigate institutional barriers. If you possess the strategic agility to pivot approaches in a highly competitive market and want to make a definitive impact on long-term graft survival, we want you on our team.

Our Portfolio
  • Prospera: Our advanced, non-invasive donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) blood test designed to detect early signs of transplant rejection.

  • Renasight: A comprehensive genetic testing panel that identifies hereditary causes of kidney disease, allowing for early, precise intervention.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Drive Market Adoption: Exceed regional sales goals by integrating Prospera and Renasight into the standard protocol of leading transplant centers and academic medical institutions across the territory.

  • Demonstrate Strategic Agility: Develop and execute data-driven business plans tailored to the unique, multi-state dynamics of the Southeast medical landscape. Successfully pivot strategies to capitalize on shifting market trends, account protocols, and competitor movements.

  • Engage as a Critical Thinker: Analyze complex account workflows, billing hurdles, and clinical barriers within major transplant centers to deliver tailored, solution-oriented presentations to high-level decision-makers.

  • Leverage Clinical Credibility: Serve as a trusted scientific partner, educating key stakeholders on the clinical utility, data, and health economics behind our genetic testing solutions.

  • Cultivate KOLs: Identify, build, and maintain meaningful partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the abdominal transplant space to amplify Natera's clinical presence.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functional: Work seamlessly with internal clinical teams, medical science liaisons (MSLs), and managed care to ensure seamless onboarding and a world-class client experience.

Qualifications & Ideal Profile
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of progressive, high-performance sales experience.

  • Industry Focus: A proven track record in transplant diagnostics, transplant therapeutics (specialty pharma), or advanced laboratory-developed tests (LDTs).

  • Core Competencies: Proven critical thinkers with a track record of solving complex clinical and logistical sales challenges. Must exhibit the strategic agility required to manage a diverse, multi-state geography with varying institutional protocols.

  • Network: Existing, verifiable relationships with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, or coordinators within GA, MS, AL, AR, TN, or LA is highly preferred.

  • Product Launch Excellence: Demonstrated experience successfully launching novel clinical products and building brand loyalty in a highly competitive market.

Work Environment & Travel
  • This is a field-based, remote position requiring significant travel (3–4 days per week) to effectively cover transplant centers throughout the multi-state region.

  • Must be comfortable with flexible hours, including occasional evenings for educational dinners or weekend travel for regional medical congresses.

What We Offer

We believe in rewarding top-tier talent with a comprehensive, wealth-building compensation package:

  • Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Quarterly Commissions (Highly rewarding On Target Earnings)

  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), allowing you to have true equity in Natera's growth.

  • Monthly Car Allowance and comprehensive travel expense reimbursement.

  • Top-tier health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.

We are seeking an experienced Organ Health Specialist (OHS) – Abdominal Transplant to join our growing Organ Health Sales team! • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment & Travel:

  • Remote role with field-based responsibilities requiring 3-4 days of travel per week.
