What is a remote distribution?

A Remote Distribution job involves managing the flow of goods, services, or digital products from a remote location. Responsibilities may include coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, processing orders, or overseeing digital content distribution. These roles often require strong organizational and communication skills, as well as familiarity with logistics software or digital platforms. Remote Distribution jobs are common in industries like e-commerce, supply chain management, and digital media.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the remote distribution position?

To excel in a Remote Distribution role, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with supply chain or logistics management, often supported by a background in business, logistics, or a related field. Familiarity with inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and shipment tracking tools is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting help individuals thrive. These skills are vital for ensuring accurate, timely distribution of goods, maintaining operational efficiency, and collaborating effectively with dispersed teams.

What are some common challenges faced in a remote distribution role and how can they be addressed?

Some common challenges in a Remote Distribution position include coordinating shipments across time zones, maintaining communication with suppliers and clients remotely, and ensuring inventory accuracy without being on-site. These challenges can be addressed by leveraging real-time tracking and inventory management tools, setting clear expectations with partners, and scheduling regular virtual check-ins. Professionals who embrace technology and proactive communication tend to adapt well to the remote nature of the work. Continuous learning and staying organized are also key to overcoming these hurdles and succeeding in the role.

This is a contract position open exclusively to candidates who are located in and legally authorized to provide services in Canada. Applications from candidates located outside of Canada will not be considered.

About Our Company

Kanopi Studios is a Design, Development & Support Agency with a fully distributed team of experts in Drupal & WordPress.

Our clients are mission-driven - and so are we. We design, build, and support websites that help their missions thrive.

We believe the people behind the work matter just as much as the work itself. That's why we're deeply committed to supporting our team's growth, well-being, and success. When our people thrive, our clients do too - and together, we build a web that works better for everyone.

As Kanopi continues to grow, we're looking to engage a Contract Senior Website Content Strategist & Copywriter on a contract basis.

About The Job

Kanopi Studios is seeking a Contract Senior Website Content Strategist & Copywriter who can turn research and data into clear, effective website content experiences. This is a website content strategy and copywriting role - not a marketing, social media, or campaign position.

Champion User-Centered Content Strategy

  • Be a vocal advocate for user-first content practices within our internal and client teams.
  • Ensure content decisions are rooted in user research, accessibility best practices, and business goals.

Craft Strategic, Accessible Copy

  • Write engaging copy that:
    • Aligns to the overall content strategy and project goals.

    • User Journeys, Personas & User Flows
    • Keyword, SEO & AEO Research and Recommendations
    • Content Maps
    • Copy Guidelines, Voice/Tone Frameworks & UX Copywriting
    • Content governance documentation

Contribute to Kanopi's Brand and Sales Presence

  • Support the internal teams by contributing to thought leadership and promotional initiatives such as:
    • Being an active participant and voice for creative services in client pitch meetings
    • Webinars, case studies, and speaking engagements
    • Writing blog posts or participating in video content
    • Representing Kanopi at conferences or industry events
