Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and litigation, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in matters such as divorce, child custody, and domestic relations. This role requires a compassionate approach to clients while maintaining a high level of professionalism and legal expertise.

Work Situation: Fulltime in office in Woodbury NJ is preferred however for the right candidate, may be remote and firm is looking to expand office and may open a new office dependent on the right candidate's location.-


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support matters
  • Draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and settlement agreements
  • Advise clients on their rights and options in family law matters
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes through mediation or litigation
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in family law
  • Prepare and present cases in court, advocating for clients' best interests
  • Maintain accurate case files and document all communications with clients and opposing parties

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing in New Jersey
