ABOUT THE ROLE Role Description The AI & Digital Automation Solutions Developer will support ***'s Global Distribution organization by designing, developing, testing, and implementing practical AI, GenAI, custom GPT, automation, and data-enabled solutions that improve business processes, operational efficiency, decision-making, and data standardization. This is a hands-on technical role with strong business partnership responsibilities. The candidate will work directly with Global Distribution business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for digital automation, and build scalable AI and digital solutions using tools such as custom GPTs, AI assistants, workflow automation platforms, low-code / no-code tools, scripts, APIs, data workflows, and reporting or analytics solutions. The ideal candidate is a business-facing technical developer who can move from problem discovery to solution design, prototyping, development, testing, deployment support, and adoption. This is not a pure data scientist role and not only a strategy role. The person should be able to build solutions, write or adapt code when needed, configure AI tools, develop automation workflows, support data standardization, and partner with technical teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and sustainable.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Master's degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Digital Transformation, Automation, or a related field OR Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Digital Transformation, Automation, or a related field OR Diploma and 9 to 11 years of relevant experience in Digital Solutions, Automation, Data Analytics, Software Development, Supply Chain Systems, or a related field. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Must-Have Skills Hands-on experience developing AI, GenAI, automation, analytics, or digital workflow solutions. Ability to build or configure custom GPTs, AI assistants, chatbots, prompt-based workflows, or similar GenAI-enabled solutions. Experience writing or adapting code, scripts, workflows, or automation logic to solve business problems. Working knowledge of Python, SQL, JavaScript, Power Platform, Power Automate, APIs, or similar development / automation tools. Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI GPTs, Power Apps, Power Automate, Databricks, Snowflake, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools. Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, semantic search, vector databases, document intelligence, or knowledge management solutions. Strong understanding of prompt engineering, AI solution design, workflow automation, data transformation, and user-centered solution development. Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs, prototypes, MVPs, and production-ready or scalable solutions. Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, and transformation. Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Ability to partner with business users and technical teams to design solutions that are practical, compliant, scalable, and easy to adopt. Experience testing, validating, troubleshooting, and enhancing digital or AI-enabled solutions. Strong documentation skills for technical designs, business rules, workflows, prompts, data logic, and support procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to business users and business needs to technical teams. Good-to-Have Skills Experience in global supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated industry environments. Familiarity with software development practices, version control, GitHub, APIs, testing frameworks, CI/CD, or MLOps concepts. Experience developing automation for reporting, data reconciliation, exception management, workflow routing, document processing, or operational dashboards. Understanding of data governance, master data management, metadata, data stewardship, data lineage, and data quality frameworks. Familiarity with supply chain processes such as order management, inventory visibility, warehouse operations, transportation, cold chain, serialization, trade compliance, or distribution planning. Experience with Agile, SAFe, product ownership, or digital product delivery models. Understanding of responsible AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance considerations for enterprise AI solutions. PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS Preferred but not required: AI, GenAI, or Prompt Engineering Certification Microsoft Power Platform Certification Azure AI / Azure OpenAI Certification Data Analytics Certification Automation or RPA Certification Agile / SAFe Certification Supply Chain Certification, such as APICS, CSCP, or CPIM Business Analysis Certification Cloud, Databricks, or Data Engineering Certification SOFT SKILLS Hands-on builder mindset with the ability to move quickly from idea to prototype to implementation. Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguity. Ability to understand business pain points and design practical technical solutions. Strong collaboration skills across business, technology, data, and compliance teams. Ability to influence without authority and guide stakeholders toward scalable solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong attention to detail when working with data, automation logic, prompts, business rules, and documentation. Outcome-oriented mindset with focus on measurable business value, usability, and adoption. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a global, matrixed environment.
