About Empowered Services 

Empowered Services provides one-on-one in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our focus is to hire and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help people build independence, maintain routines, and stay connected to their communities in meaningful ways.


Role Overview 

We are hiring an entry-level Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide consistent, structured care for individuals of all ages in the Yamhill County area. (No prior DSP experience required – paid training provided.)    


This role centers around: 

  • Supporting daily routines and household structure 
  • Assisting with community-based activities and errands 
  • Encouraging independence while maintaining clear expectations 
  • Behavioral support 
  • Emotional regulation 
  • Crisis support 


This is a strong fit for someone who is consistent, patient, and confident maintaining boundaries in a supportive way


  What You’ll Do 

  • Support daily living routines (meals, hygiene, organization) 
  • Assist with community access (shopping, errands, outings) 
  • Provide emotional regulation support using calm, structured approaches 
  • Maintain clear boundaries and consistent expectations 
  • Assist with household upkeep and organization 
  • Encourage independence and personal responsibility 
  • Communicate updates with care teams and complete required documentation 
  • Help maintain a safe, predictable, and respectful environment 


  Compensation & Benefits 

  • $23–$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) 
  • Paid training 
  • Flexible schedule based upon the customers needs 


Full-time employees (30+ hours/week) may be eligible for:

  Qualifications:  

  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
  • Current auto insurance (meeting state requirements) 
  • Ability to pass a background check (not all records are disqualifying) 
  • Comfortable supporting personal care needs  


Preferred: 

  • Experience in caregiving, DSP, behavioral support, or IDD roles 
  • Experience supporting individuals with I/DD 
  • Strong communication and boundary-setting skills 
  • CPR/First Aid certification
