Content Planning and Coordination

  • Help develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
  • Identify opportunities to highlight Quest2Freedom’s programs, partnerships, educational work, events, campaigns and organizational impact.
  • Coordinate with designated team members to gather and confirm event information, photographs, videos and other content needed for social media.
  • Organize and catalogue approved content and event assets, and record basic activity.

Copywriting and Content Development

  • Draft clear, engaging and platform-appropriate social media content based on Q2F’s events, programs, partnerships, campaigns and organizational priorities and activities.
  • Adapt content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other approved platforms.
  • Help communicate Q2F’s mission, voice, programs and areas of impact.
  • Review content for clarity, grammar, accuracy, tone and consistency.
  • Use dignity-centered, trauma-informed and culturally responsive language.

Graphic Design and Creative Production

  • Create on-brand social media graphics and campaign assets using Canva.
  • Adapt approved templates for events, awareness campaigns, educational content, fundraising initiatives, partnerships and organizational announcements.
  • Ensure visual materials follow Q2F’s brand guidelines.
  • Maintain reusable Canva templates and an organized library of approved creative assets

Scheduling and Publishing

  • Upload and organize approved content in the organization’s designated scheduling platform.
  • Route content to the designated reviewer for approval before publication.
  • Schedule approved posts according to the content calendar.
  • Confirm that scheduled content displays correctly across platforms.
  • Make approved updates or corrections when necessary.

Community Monitoring

  • Monitor comments, tags and general audience engagement.
  • Identify appropriate opportunities for Q2F to engage with partners, community organizations, campaigns and relevant conversations.
  • Escalate sensitive comments, media inquiries, requests for services, disclosures, criticism or potential safety concerns to organizational leadership.
  • Avoid responding independently to crisis situations, client-related matters or sensitive inquiries without authorization.

Performance and improvement

  • Track basic performance measures, including reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth and high-performing content.
  • Recommend practical adjustments based on performance, audience response and platform trends.
  • Help organize and maintain approved content and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with Q2F’s Programs, Fundraising and other relevant teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience creating social media content for an organization, business, campaign, student group or community initiative.
  • Strong writing and basic design skills.
  • Working knowledge of Canva.
  • Familiarity with social media  scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar platforms).
  • Strong organization, reliability and attention to detail.
