Support the integrations that connect and keep our systems working together.
Hastings Insurance is seeking an Associate Integration Developer to join our Data and Architectural Services team. This early-career role supports the development and maintenance of integrations between internal and external systems that support our Property and Casualty insurance operations.
Working alongside experienced developers and architects, this position provides hands-on exposure to integration technologies, application development, and enterprise systems. The Associate Integration Developer will assist with production support, development tasks, and system enhancements while building the technical foundation needed to grow within our development team.
Location & Schedule
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role offers flexibility and may be performed onsite in Hastings, in a hybrid format, or fully remote. For remote arrangements, we strongly prefer candidates who reside in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or Wisconsin, though additional states may be considered based on business needs.
What You'll Do:
  • Support the development and maintenance of microservices and APIs used for application and system integrations.
  • Assist in implementing integrations between internal and external platforms, applications, and services.
  • Review integration design documentation to understand system architecture and business processes.
  • Provide support for deployed integration solutions and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Follow established SDLC practices including coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
  • Work with senior developers to implement enhancements and improvements to integration solutions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continue building technical skills.
  • Contribute to development standards and team best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
