Job description

We are looking for a qualified JIRA Application Developer to design and code functional programs and applications. You will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision.

A great JIRA Application Developer has excellent knowledge of at least one programming language. They must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • The JIRA Developer will be responsible for understanding the current process, identifying gaps, gathering requirements to develop and deliver customized applications/projects to meet the organizational demands
  • Develop and maintain workflows in Atlassian JIRA and other Atlassian products including tool administration and customization
  • Install and configure plugins and deploy to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations
  • Design custom JIRA workflow for different issue types to assist in provisioning, build & deploy servers, and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows
  • Develop creating JIRA templates, complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA
  • Responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA, Confluence and integrations with other tools or plugins
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across organization, gather requirements to develop, and deliver custom templates, workflows (automation) using Atlassian products (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence etc.)
  • Developing components (add-ons/apis/plug-ins) or customizations for the Atlassian JIRA platform/Atlassian SDK

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in JIRA development
  • Experience using Java and web-based architectures and technologies (REST, XML, JSON)
  • Solid software development experience and talent
  • Working knowledge of Java application servers
  • Any experience using Open-Source frameworks, is a benefit
  • Experience with distributed, multi-tier, mixed technologies, software architectures
  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional teams of developers, analysts and operations stakeholders
