As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Providing individualized therapy sessions and facilitating group therapy to diverse clientele, ensuring adherence to therapeutic best practices.
• Documenting patient sessions meticulously and efficiently to meet agency, state, and licensing documentation standards.
• Participating in program development by assisting with training initiatives and engaging in on-unit programming that reflects our organization's values.
• Coordinating with interdisciplinary treatment teams, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans, and attending meetings to discuss client progress and recovery strategies.

Our client base consists of individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, particularly mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Knowledge in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

The ideal candidate will also bring:

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively communicate and collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals in crafting holistic care plans for clients.
